The club is open to any Villages resident who is interested in photography. Our programs will appeal most to the casual and recreational photographer.
Our season runs from September through June,
on the first, third, and, when available, fifth Thursdays of the month at Lake Miona Regional Recreation Center. Meetings are scheduled from 9:30-12:00.
Doors open at 9:00. Refreshments are served.

First Thursday of the Month - Photo Sharing
Photo Share sessions provide a learning, opportunity to grow and improve as a photographer and to build a community within SPPC. All of our members not matter their skill level or the what they feel about the appeal or quality of the photo are encouraged to participate. Third Thursday of the Month - Programs
Programs will be on topics at various levels of interest and experience. The programs are designed to provide exposure to topics for those wishing to learn more about photography and to keep members aware of changes in the world of photography.
Fifth Thursday of the Month
These few days during the year have no set plan, but may include field trips, photo sharing, presentations, group discussions, or workshops
Field Trips
Any member may organize a group field trip either for the 5th Thursday of a month or a non-meeting day. We encourage everyone to get out and about to take photos.
In March of each year, the Sunset Pointe Photography Club holds their Annual Photo Showcase. The showcase provides a platform for our members to display their work, share their visual narrative and discuss with you photo techniques and artistic styles.

Club Members may submit their photos by using the button below or by email to Spointe.Share@gmail.com prior to noon on the Wednesday before the photo share meeting or by bringing in a thumb drive the morning of the meeting. Members can provide 1 to 3 photos to be shown during the initial photo share session. We ask that if the photo was edited, a before and after image of the photos be submitted to provide a level of discussion on the how's and why's of the individual photo. Members can submit more than 3 images but the additional photos will be put in an Extras Folder and shown as time permits.
